Google Cloud is hosting a free webinar on August 30th, titled “Power Your Business with Modern Cloud Apps: Strategies and Best Practices” where it’ll share helpful strategies on how your business can leverage cloud apps to benefit your users. The webinar will go over several different Google Cloud services, including GKE, Apigee API, Anthos, and Cloud Run. The event starts at 9:00am PDT with a keynote being delivered by Richard Seroter, Director, Outbound Product Management / Engineering – OSP Google Cloud. Scheduled at 9:20am PDT following the keynote is the first session, titled “Containers: A better way to build, deploy and manage apps.” It will run about 20 minutes and the two speakers are Bex Heart, Serverless Product Marketing Manager Google Cloud and Praveen Rajasekar, Head of Product Marketing Kubernetes. The focus of this session of the webinar is to explore the range of capabilities that open up once your workloads are containerized, including increased portability, less overhead, and faster development. The second session will focus on how to improve software supply chain security of your containerized applications and it will start at 9:40am PDT and run until 10:00am PDT. The speaker will be Ning Ge, Product Marketing Manager Software Supply Chain Security. According to Google Cloud, Ge will speak about “how Google Cloud can help shift security to the left with a holistic solution to enhance your security posture along the software supply chain from dependencies to deploy.” Watch this session here.
The third and final session of the webinar is titled “APIs & Hybrid Architectures: Modernize at your own pace.” The focus of this session is to show how to leverage a hybrid API strategy so you or your business can deploy applications on-premises, on Google Cloud, or a hybrid or multi-cloud environment. This way, your new cloud innovation can interact with legacy. Speaker Geir Sjurseth, Product Manager BAP will be hosting this session. Watch the third session starting at 10:00am PDT here.
